It was reported that a citizen delivered an apology letter and an envelope containing cash, saying that he did not pay the subway fare properly in the past.

According to the Seoul Transportation Corporation and Yonhap News on the 28th, a woman in her 60s stumbled into the customer safety room of Gasan Digital Complex Station on Subway Line No. 7.

The woman hurriedly left after delivering a yellow envelope to a station employee, and there was an apology letter on the envelope for her past illegal ride. It also contained four 50,000 won in cash, a total of 200,000 won.

"Thank you for your hard work," the letter said, "I'm very late, but I'm trying to compensate now."

"I can't remember how many times I had difficulty in life in the past...It's just a small amount, but I want to compensate for it now. I'm sorry for all this time."

He concluded the letter by saying, "Good work and always be healthy and happy."

On the other hand, fraudulent riding constitutes a "crime of illegal use of convenience facilities". According to the regulations, additional charges for illegal rides must be paid 30 times the fare of the ride section and the fare.
