SK Telecom unveiled its "Do the Good AI" vision on the 27th to incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) into overall ESG management.

SK Telecom explained, "We will promote ESG management to secure AI reliability and safety while increasing the competitiveness of communication and technology through AI, and to ensure that AI contributes positively to the world." In terms of the environment, net-zero implementation plans such as AI-based network design and energy efficiency are being promoted. SK Telecom explained that it is efficiently building the network by using AI technology to predict quality changes in advance and deploying network equipment in the optimal location when designing a communication network.

SK Telecom said it plans to create social value by presenting solutions to various social problems through AI such as prevention of voice phishing and caring for vulnerable people. In addition, it also provides services such as 'Carevia', which analyzes the challenging behaviors of people with developmental disabilities using image recognition AI technology and supports professional care. SK Telecom plans to take the lead in sharing the need for AI governance with various institutions and finding ways to build and apply it.
